Gardaí suspect the threats were part of a coordinated campaign. Several callers reportedly used a messaging platform—possibly Telegram—to organize their actions before phoning in bomb warnings to at least three separate stations. A major security sweep is underway, deploying armed detectives and the Garda Dog Unit to search the property.

In recent days, Mr. Harris’s family has been targeted in multiple disturbing incidents:

  • Last weekend, threats were made against his children via social media, leading to an arrest in West Dublin.
  • On Friday night, a “vile and horrific” threat was aimed at a close family member.
The Tánaiste described these attacks as part of a “clear and sinister pattern,” evidently intended to intimidate him out of public office.

Expressing his resolve, Mr. Harris said that protecting his family is his “number one priority,” and pledged to consult with his Fine Gael and government colleagues about how to respond to escalating online intimidation.
